These chisel bits have an SDS-Max shank that prevents them from slipping when breaking up concrete and masonry in high-torque construction and demolition applications. The bits install into compatible rotary hammer drills and demolition hammers with SDS-Max chucks, and they can be changed in the chucks with one hand. SDS-Max chucks have spring-loaded balls that fit into the grooves on the bits' shanks to hold the bits in place in the chucks.
