Straight-flute taper pin reamers push chips forward into the hole and are used to enlarge, finish, or shape holes for a precise fit when installing taper pins into the hole. They have a 1/4" taper to the foot. Straight-flute reamers are the most commonly used style of reamer. These hand reamers are held with a tap wrench, adjustable wrench, or vise and are slowly rotated to feed the reamers into the hole.
