These helical-flute thread mills have an EXO coating, which is a multilayered TiAlN coating with a very smooth finish that provides better wear resistance than a standard TiAlN coating. EXO-coated thread mills can be used at high speeds and withstand high temperatures. Carbide thread mills offer excellent wear resistance, heat resistance, and hardness.
