The WXL coating on these end mills protects them from wear and is designed for milling nonferrous metals and steels with a Rockwell hardness of up to 50 HRC. It is harder and has a higher oxidation temperature than a TiAlN coating. Finishing end mills create a finer finish on the workpiece than roughing and roughing/finishing end mills. Miniature ball end mills have a small diameter and provide high precision and control over material removal during detailed milling applications such as dental milling or small-electronics manufacturing.
