The WXS coating on these drill bits protects them from wear and provides maximum heat resistance when drilling nickel-based alloys and hardened steels with a Rockwell hardness of more than 50 HRC. It is harder and has a higher oxidation temperature than a TiAlN coating. These drill bits have holes that allow coolant to flow to their tip to reduce heat and help clear chips during drilling. Spiral-flute drill bits evacuate chips as the bits drill into a workpiece.
