The EXO coating on these drill bits is a multilayered TiAlN coating with a very smooth finish. It resists wear better than a standard TiAlN coating. EXO-coated drill bits can be used at high speeds and withstand high temperatures. Carbide micro drill bits provide excellent hardness, wear resistance, and heat resistance. They create precise holes with a smooth finish and often eliminate the need for reaming the hole after drilling. Carbide bits require a rigid setup such as a fixed-spindle machine. These bits have spiral flutes that evacuate chips as the bits drill into a workpiece.
