The diamond coating on these end mills protects them from wear when milling abrasive materials. Diamond-coated end mills are only used for milling nonferrous materials such as aluminum, graphite, copper, and carbon fiber. Roughing/finishing end mills remove large amounts of material and create a smooth finish on the workpiece at the same time. Miniature end mills have a smaller diameter and provide more precision and better control over material removal during detailed milling tasks than standard end mills.
