Helical-flute drill bits create smaller chips and evacuate them more quickly than standard spiral-flute drill bits. The AlTiN coating on these drill bits protects them from wear when drilling hard and abrasive materials and is more resistant to high heat than a TiAlN coating. These drill bits have holes that allow coolant to flow to their tip to reduce heat and help clear chips during drilling.
