These carbide chucking reamers have a bright finish that is unaffected when the tool's cutting edges are resharpened. The reamers' helical flutes (also called high-spiral flutes) evacuate chips from a hole as they enlarge it to an exact size for a precise fit when installing fasteners or other parts. They also help prevent chips from packing in the flutes during reaming tasks. The reamers' straight shank mounts to the chuck of a drill press or similar machining tool.
