Carbide-tipped slitting end mills are used to create slots and slits and to cut off material in delicate milling operations on hard and soft plastics. They have carbide steel cutting edges that offer excellent hardness, heat resistance, and wear resistance. Their body is made from a material that can tolerate more vibration and shock than carbide steel. These end mills have a straight shank that mounts to a milling machine.
